The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) is a set of ideas and processes that use patterns of invention and technological change to improve products and systems. One of the big ideas of TRIZ is solving technical contradictions, when the improvement of one variable in a system would cause the deterioration of another. Prometheus uses the concepts of TRIZ to bring a unique and powerful perspective to product design, with the goal of advancing the design toward ideality.
