AT-TEK, LLC was a sensor manufacturer servicing the aerospace and nuclear power industries.

For their flange-gap-monitoring sensor system, Prometheus reduced production costs through parts reduction and low-volume manufacturing optimization by implementing several design and process improvements. Additional product development costs were also reduced through experimentation and research studies.

AT-TEK was also in development of a structural-health-monitoring sensor for habitable inflatable softgoods (e.g. the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module on the ISS), for which Prometheus reduced development costs by conducting experiments, performance testing, research, and modeling studies.

For the Toyota assembly plant in Georgetown, KY, Prometheus contributed to the reduction of manufacturing cycle time of Lexus car bumpers by designing and prototyping an EOAT system for an automated pick-and-place solution at the bottleneck.

The company tasked Prometheus to design and prototype a rugged, smart research rover for collecting soil-surface topology data. Through developing and integrating the mechanical, electrical, and digital systems into a deployable design, we successfully accelerated the development of the company’s product-launch goals.

Schwartz Group contacted Prometheus to design and deliver multiple units of a novel low-cost automatic-dimensioning scale for measuring parcels to be shipped from their warehouse. By replacing the manual measurement processes with an automatic sensor system, warehouse productivity was greatly improved.

Energy Focus planned to release several form factors of a UV-C air disinfection product under the brand name nUVo, for both consumer and industrial markets. Prometheus generated design concepts for multiple form factors, accelerating the development of the business and brand.

On the infeed conveyor of a product wrapping machine, an employee of a food manufacturer needed to be present to manually index the product to ensure consistent spacing before wrapping. As a solution, Prometheus designed a mechanical indexer to be installed onto the conveyor to autonomously index the product with neither human presence nor power needed from electricity or pneumatics.

Australian company Gatepower must solve an advanced set of formulas to ensure proper dimensioning and functionality of an angular-rising gate design. For this, they relied on an open-source online tool. To reduce risk, Prometheus eliminated their reliance on this tool by developing an in-house software solution.
